Welcome to Tarpon Sands, a private island vacation rental 11 Miles east of Belize City.  With our all-inclusive packages, oceanfront accommodations, and countless options for adventure, we promise a truly unique vacation experience.  Our little paradise is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, relax, and unwind with family and friends.   

The Tarpon Sands experience begins with our staff meeting and greeting you at the Philip Goldson International Airport – Belize’s only international airport located 10 minutes north of Belize City.  You’ll then be transported to the City where you’ll travel to the island aboard “Ono Mas”, a fully equipped 35′ Pilot House fishing boat.  Ono Mas has everything you’ll need to ensure you arrive at the island in comfort.   

Tarpon Sands is a 2-acre island just 20 minutes by boat from Belize City.   Opened in 2011, we’re a family-owned and operated, eco-friendly vacation rental.  As we only accommodate a small number of visitors at a time, we’re all dedicated to ensuring that our guests have an amazing first-class experience, making it a true all-inclusive private island.   

Admire the breathtaking views of the Belize Barrier Reef and the Caribbean Sea from just about every location on the island.  Tarpon Sands is a strong proponent of conservation because we understand the critical role that the environment and ocean have in the growth of our nation.  As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain the sustainability of our operations, we’re reducing the amount of single-use plastics, using eco-friendly, biodegradable cleaning products, installing energy-efficient lighting throughout the property, and utilizing rainwater harvesting systems. Your local, culinary experience is always a large part of vacation experience, and Tarpon Sands is no exception.  Every day our in-house chef will create made-to-order meals and snacks using only items that have been responsibly produced and fished.     

Tarpon Sands is a secluded, peaceful, island sanctuary.  You’re on island time whether you decide to spend your days swimming, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, fishing the saltwater flats or reef, or just simply relaxing and soaking in the gorgeous landscape and the gentle Caribbean breeze.
